Stop stressing. You can breastfeed twins. Well, not everyone can, but it is certainly possible and worth trying.. some people even breastfeed triplets w/ little to no supplementation. Even if you do end up needing to supplement... the more you breastfeed, the less formula you will need.

Breast milk is free... so if finances are rough that is my best advice. Not having milk when your children aren't even born yet is normal. I never had milk before any of my kids were born and I breastfed 3 kids for a total of 4.5 years.

Hang in there!!

Not judging, stating. Big difference.

You have to qualify, financially, for free programs. If you're told that you do not qualify, then you do make enough, and simply need to re-budget to cover new needs.

Have you tried breastfeeding? Its free.

As for the WIC thing.... even if he gets paid in cash he can file taxes and WIC can go off of that. It is a MAJOR pain in the butt... but it might be possible.

Your husband needs to stand up and get his bosses to give him some documentation...either that or get a job that will provide documentation, honey! No wonder you're stressed!

Good luck with everything. The best thing would be if hubby could get some solid documentation of income. Try not to stress too much, or you will cause other problems with health and birth...Yes, I realize that's like telling the leaky sieve not to leak...but...

Understand the little milk problem, my kids both starved until I switched them, actually.

But...your husband doesn't get paid by check? So he's basically working under the table? That's problematic in so many other ways...

So if he's not paid by check, how is he compensated? (I mean, I'm not paid by check either, it's directly transferred from the institution that I work for into my account, but I still have a pay stub). Is there any proof of pay at all?

Well, if you don't want to use a resource, then why are you asking for free formula?

If you qualify, go to WIC. Asking 'how to get free formula' and then refusing to go to one of the main sources...seems a bit off to me. ;-)

And, if you don't qualify for WIC, you probably won't for food banks, either.
