I'm freaking out so bad right not I'm a 24 year old mother of two who is about to be going off birth control and am happy with the two kids I have and would hate to start over since both my kids are already in school. I had gotten pregnant on the pill and again on the patch and I have been on the iud since my daughter was born now it's time for it to be taken out and my doctor has informed me he will not give me another iud because of the complications it caused my body. So I've been doing alot of research lately and found out I really shouldn't be on any birth control because it could even cause more issues. My boyfriend of 8 years and father of my child both agree we don't want any more kids but since I can't be on birth control and have a slight allergy to latex I don't know what to do. I've tried getting a tubal but I can't get my medical to pay for it and I don't have the 26,000$ to pay for it myself so I tried talking my boyfriend into getting a vacectomy but he refuses and I really don't understand why. Does anyone have any ideas??? My iud comes out on tuesday the 31st and it's been nothing but stress!!!

tell him that he's not getting any until he either gets fixed or figures out a way for you to do it since you don't have the money. Otherwise he'd better be ready for number 3! if you do give in, try the calendar method but you'll need to wait a few months so you know how your cycle is going to go and use a spermicide as backup.

no might be able to cause problems but so can an unexpected or unwanted pregnancy/baby.

yeah I thought about saying no, but no can cause problems in the relationship. I never really had a regular cycle but I'm hoping it will become regular after having the iud for 5 years, I'm not ready for number 3 and don't think I ever will be. Thanks
