I recently switched my daughter to a big girl bed. She is going to be 2 in about 2 weeks. I would have really liked to keep her in her crib longer but she was leaping out everytime I put her in. Anyway, I was having a VERY HARD TIME getting her to stay in the bed because she wanted me to sleep with her. I must admit, I lost that battle a few nights. I finally decided to start the super nanny way of soothing her then slowly heading toward the door. It works well, she falls asleep within about 10 to 15 minutes, but wakes up every 2 hours and I just have to keep getting up and repeating the steps. I know the super nanny site said that would be normal for the first few weeks but last night she woke up 1 or 2 times and didn't cry but got out of bed. I did go in and repeat the steps but I was wondering if it is okay to leave her. I was a fan of the CIO technique when she was in her crib but I'm nervous letting her run around her room. It's child proofed but I'm still scared she's gonna find something to get into that she shouldn't. Does anyone have opinions on how I should handle the situation if she gets out of bed but is not crying or scared.... just playing in her room in the middle of the night.
