Hi again, Jodi. I loved the movie and the song was appropriate, I think, for that particular point in the movie.

Personally, I think we read too much into kids movies sometimes. I think we need to "Let it Go" and just enjoy.

I have read several articles on this movie, some which are uplifting and inspiring, and some of which, unfortunately, are condemning and homophobic. I really believe people read far too much into it and seem to interpret it to suit their own agenda.

If you haven't seen the blog that believed the song "Let it Go" was a gay message, then I will be happy to find it for you.

When it comes down to it, the song suited what was happening in the movie. I don't see any greater message than that. Why? Because it was related to a particular circumstance created by fantasy. The success of the song has been about the "catchiness" of the tune. I have spoken to my high school students as to why they play it over and over again, and it is because they loved the movie, the song is catchy and they can sing it at the tops of their voices.

Sometimes, I think as adults, we overanalyse the messages our kids receive. I am not saying children are in any way stupid or ignorant, just that they are less complicated than we try to imagine they are.
