Full Name of Father in the Birth Certificate

Hi, in the birth certificate, do we need to put the father's full name even if he does not recognise the child? I understand that we cannot use their surname.

Ask a lawyer. His name should be on there if he is the father, but he may need to have a paternity test to put it on there if he refuses to sign it.... since you are using his name on a legal document. I do not know how it works though, so check w/ a lawyer for sure.

It depends on where you live. Also it makes it easier to claim child support and you should claim it even if he doesn't want to see the child.
Ask a lawyer in your area for advice that will suit you.
