I have a son with diabetes and we participate in the Juvenille Diabetes Research Walk every year since he has gotten it. I was wondering if anyone had any good, effective ideas for a fundraiser. Thanks and have a good day!!

We worked with a rep in Wildtree - an all natural food company. We got 20% of what we sold. It was great to sell something that is good for you! Our families loved it. Check out the website and contant her

I don't know where you live, but we have poker nights. There is a bar that does it solely for charity and we raised $3100!!!!

A trivia night with an auction? I have been to fundraisers where you book a table for the trivia contest (great fun, each table competing with another!! And if you don't have enough for a table, that's ok too, because they just combine groups to go on a table), but they combine it with an auction of donated goods (vouchers to local businesses, etc). Mostly, the ones I have been to are associated with schools or sports teams, but they have worked really well.

Well, our goverment holds big sales. They pay $2.00 for a hammer and sell it for $200.000.

Most folks I know have pizza parties. Contact a local pizza joint, or whatever kids like where you live. You promise to being in a LOT of people, they promise you %15 or %20 of the nights total.

Where I live such things are announced on the radio, large posters are up at schools and malls, ads in the newspaper .... whatever, to get the word out.

I went on a People to People student Ambassador trip when I was in high school and we did alot of fundraising for it. Some of the things we did were bake/food sales, raffles, we sent out letters to local businesses asking them for a donation and in return we thanked them in the newspaper so they got some publicity out of it, some people who sell Mary Kay or Avon will do fundraiser sales for you, also if you have an event for a fundraiser alot of times fast food places will donate food or drinks! i know our local McDonalds would donate drinks and cups, or pizza hut would donate some pizzas, we also had Oscar Meyer donate hot dogs! We also had a dance at a local high school where people paid a few dollars to get in, all of the food and drinks were donated and the DJ also donated his time! hope this helps!
