My 4 year old son was diagnosed with G6PD Defifiency upon birth. I was told he would not be effected by this, but he has suffered from joint pain (mainly in his legs) since his toddler years. He's seens a Pediatric Ortho and has had ultra sounds performed. But nothing abnormal was found. We recently discovered that the Dr who diagnosed his G6PD did not test his enzyme levels. Could this be causing his joint pain? Have any other parents experienced chronic joint pain?

He is not currently taking any medications and does not have an infection. He has taken other medications in the past (tylenol, antibiotics etc...) but did not show any obvious signs that they triggering his joint pain. I've been endlessly searching the internet for answers in regards to this but I havent found anything relating G6PD to that specific symptom.

G6PD is an enzyme deficiency, is your son currently taking any medications, or does he have an infection these things can trigger the symptoms of G6PD
