I feel so lost right now! It was smooth sailing with my beautiful baby girl for the first six weeks. Great with breastfeeding, hardly ever cried... Then she flipped a switch and started kicking and head butting me after feeding. She grunts, hisses, growls and cries. Sometimes she pulls up her little legs into the fetal position (gas??) and sometimes she stiffens and arches her back (reflux??). And now she is starting some weird posturing moves, which the ped thinks is in response to the pain she's feeling (Sandifer's syndrome??). She spits up fairly often, and sometimes it's forceful.
We started Zantac today so I'm waiting to see if that makes a difference. And I'm watching what I eat, but with both the gas and reflux elimination diets in play, there's next to nothing I'm actually allowed to eat. I don't even care about that - I just can't stand to see my baby so uncomfortable! Thankfully, she sleeps through the night - 8 hours last night! It's my saving grace. If anyone has a similar experience or any advice, that would be greatly appreciated!!
