Would you let your child make their own breakfast if they're over the age of 8yrs, just curious?

My 7 year old has been making her own breakfast since she was 6. Sometimes, because she is little, she needs help pouring the milk (if the carton is a full one), but she can operate the toaster, butter it, etc. I can't remember when my other kids started making their own breakfasts, but it would have been around much the same age.

I used to make my own breakfast at 8 years, I'm teaching my daughter to be independent (she will be 2 in a few months) she can get food for herself (cereal/fruit/bread). If it requires using the stove (eggs/bacon or something) I would say wait or be right there to supervise.

My oldest 2 are 11 and 8 and they have been making their own breakfast for years now. The 8yo sometimes struggles if the 3l bottle of milk is brand new and full to the brim but otherwise I leave them to it.

If her co-ordination were better, my kid would be making her own breakfast by now (she's 7 with delayed fine motor skills due to her Autism). When I was 6, I was getting my own bowl of cereal/oatmeal or toast in the morning.
