Me and my husband have been worrying about money issues and my husband suggested that I get a job like a bank teller with day time hours, the problem I have with that is this is my youngest first year in school and I want to be able to be there for my babies when they get home off bus and do homework together , and I love being a stay at home mom... Last time I had a "job" was ten years ago as a florist, I never once thought about getting one ... But where paying bills is seeming to weigh on him I want to make it easier?

I agree I'd love to stay at home and work. Half my paycheck goes to daycare then bills

I agree with Little Miss. There are plenty of jobs that you can do outside the home that will fit into school hours, you just need to go out and find them. They won't come knocking on your door.

Being a mother should not make one lose their own identity. Many women want jobs to help their families and feel like they are contributing money to the home along with being a parent. Leaving the home to work can help mind, body and spirit.

If a mother leaves the house, she can actually have human interaction separate from the 4 walls of her home.

jobs for mom depends upon plenty of factors !! if there is a separate room in the apartment then it is very easy to keep "paying guests" as home stay and one can earn because now a days "home stay" is very popular !! and as a guest mom should keep only ladies !!! or mom can also work with internet or typing work with the computer !!
these are the work which can be done easily from home.

There are plenty of jobs that accommodate mommy hours! Try the school district, or any of little Miss's suggestions. School aide, lunch or playground staff are a couple suggestions.

Good luck!

OMG that is a ridiculous statement Mily.

Go find yourself a job that allows you to be home for the school bus. That is not unreasonable. You could be a florist again, retail, cashier, maybe a part time bank teller. The list goes on. You can certainly find a job that accommodates mommy hours.
