I've been breast feeding my baby for 9 and a half months. She's never drunk milk from a bottle. I've been trying to get her to drink from a bottle for the past couple of weeks but she does just not accept it. I'm going back to work soon so I need immediate results!

Especially since at 9mo's children are typically quite adept at sippy cups. I would avoid bottles all together, just another habit/security that you won't have to break or take away by the time they are a yr old.

I skipped the bottle with my daughter who was breastfeed as well. She took easier to a sippy cup then a bottle. Also...is could be what you're giving her in the bottle...if it's your expressed milk maybe she'd take it easier, if it's regular milk..maybe the temperature isn't right! I'd try the sippy cup first...would be less stress to get her weaned off of a bottle later on too!!

All I can tell you is to try different bottles w/ different styles of nipples. Also, have someone other than you offer bottles.

At first, my daughter would only drink from the tiniest nipple I could find. Even then, if you put it more than 1/2 way in her mouth she gagged! The first few tries she only took about 2oz. Eventually it got easier and she moved up to the bigger Avent nipples.
