I have a 7 week lo and I am trying to get him to sleep in the co sleeper cot. He is a sleep fighter and can be tricky to get to sleep but once asleep will generally sleep well (up to 5 hours at a time) so long as he is lying across me with head in my arm. However we have a co sleeper cot and as much as I enjoy having him on me I would really like him to sleep in the cot. When I put him down he always wakes up, either after a couple of minutes or after around half an hour. I have been putting his dummy back in, shushing him, patting his tummy but he just ends up kicking his legs and getting upset. He is swaddled, we have white noise playing, we have a blanket under the sheet, we warm it with a hot water bottle, I have towels rolled up to make it cosier. Any advice?? Anything else to try? Do I need to accept he's not ready to sleep in it? Will he hit an age where he's suddenly ready for it? One day us like to be able to put him to bed without having to go to bed too!
