Good Obgyn in Austin, TX?

I am looking for an OBGYN in the Austin, TX area that delivers at St. Davids hospital and isn't strict about waiting until 40 weeks to induce. everyone I know was induced between 38 and 39 weeks and I wanted to be induced at 39 but my doctor refused and I went into labor on my own the night before my due date and my son got so big in the last week that I had to have a c-section because his head couldn't fit through my pelvic. So I want a more laid back doctor this time around and I prefer to have a male doctor but I don't mind a female if anyone has a doctor like this please let me know. Thank You!

Well, first of all, research your area and see if they allow VBAC's in the first place. Many states are no longer allowing them. Secondly, not every pregnancy or baby is the same. Your doctor was thinking about the health of your baby, not the inconvenience of you being uncomfortable that last week. Chances are your baby was already that big. U/S often are not accurate. Both of my kids were suppose to be over 9-10 pounds. Neither of then were that. And thirdly, this is an international site. You may not find anyone in here from your specific area, but if you do that is great...but unlikely.

Honestly the best way to find an obgyn? Call the labor and delivery unit in the hospital you are going to deliver in, and ask the nurses. They will be honest, and guide you to the right doctor. After all, they work with them during deliveries.
