So I feel very disappointed and discouraged because I got my period on time. So for about a week (May 16th - 22nd) before my period came (May 24th) I was feeling ALL of the pregnancy symptoms such as implantation cramping, nausea, hot flashes, bloating, sore boobs and nipples, bigger nipples, headaches, dizziness, loss of appetite, thick white creamy discharge, tiredness, insomnia, gas EVERYTHING and then my period starts just like my calendar predicted but the only thing about this period is that it's exactly like the one last month that lasted for 3 days, no heavy bleeding, no blood clots and a lot of cramps, this is now day 2 of my period and I'm still getting cramps and no heavy flow like normally when I first start my period. Me and my boyfriend bd 3 times before the day I ovulated (May 3rd, 5th, 8th) and on the day I ovulated (May 10th) so I really thought I could be pregnant bc we did everything right, oh and not to mention, I took birth control for one week (started April 6th) and missed a few in the second week and with the bc I was using, it said pregnancy is possible in the 7 days after you stop taking it so use back up bc and we didn't, we've been trying to get pregnant since April 19th after I stopped my bc. We also had sex April 22nd which was the day before i got my period last month. please help, has any mom or mom to be EVER experienced this and still found out they were pregnant? I've heard lots of stories from women who still we're having their periods on up til their 3rd or throughout their entire pregnancy.

Your period can change from when you were on BC pills and going off of them. I was on BC pills for 20 years. Went off them when I had my tubes tied. My periods and hormones were all over the charts for the first few months and I had all kinds of crazy "symptoms". My hormones leveled out, but my cycle length changes every month between 22 days and 29 days, 2-1/2 years later.

As far as how quickly you can get pregnant when going off the pill, I know a woman that was on the pill for 10 years, and got pregnant right away after stopping. Some women don't get pregnant for months after stopping the pill. Each person is different. Don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen right away. Keep your spirits up.

Thank you Sarah and I'm def not giving up the hopes of being possibly pregnant, yes I've taken two home pt's weeks before my period and went to the er on Saturday for a migraine that wouldn't go away after hours of having it and told them everything I was experiencing and they did two pee pt's and both we're negative, I asked for a blood test and they wouldn't do it. But I've come to notice that the previous month (March) my period was 5 days with blood clots, last month it was 3 with no blood clots and now it's been two days and still no blood clots so I'm wondering why that is after hearing other moms and mom to be stories and they've told me that they we're getting their periods with no blood clots either and found out they were pregnant at 10 weeks or more, so I still have hope and I'm def gonna wait to see if this period is gonna be 3 days also before I know or think something is up

Hi Jessica,
Before my mom found out that she was pregnant with me, she actually got a period with me. I believe it was a full blown one...then the following month she didn't get one. Many people could think they when she got her period she was not pregnant with me but when the doctors did the examination they saw she was over a month pregnant with me. So sweetie you maybe pregnant. But the only way to know for sure is if you take a pregnancy test or go see your doctor.

Have you taken a pregnancy test?

When I was pregnant with my daughter I was due for my period christmas day 2013..after a few days of not getting my period I took a test and it was inconclusive. Meaning if you held the test up to the light you could see a very very faint line. Barely existed. That was not an definite answer for me. I figured I was not pregnant. It took me 10 days late for my pregnancy test to come up positive.

If I were you I would wait it out a few more days to see if your period changes any...you may just want to take a test. It won't hurt.

But I wish you and your boyfriend the best of luck!!!!
