So I had my Mirena IUD taken out on February 26 because my hubby and I want to try and have another babes.. Well I thought i was prego a week ago.. Bought a prego test at the store and i tested positive.. so yesterday morning I started spotting and then it turned into some heavy bleeding.. So i decided to do another prego test and that tested negative.. so i Called my doctor and talked to his nurse and she said I most likely had a false positive.. she said false positives doesn't happen very often but it does happen.. I would have tested positive, not negative, yesterday if i had miscarried..The nurse said i'm most likely experiencing my period right now which is great news!.. and I can start trying again as soon as my period finishes up.. :) So my question is, how long did it take for most of you gals to conceive after having your Mirena IUD taken out?

It can take any couple up to a year to conceive a child. No matter if you've used Mirena or not, as long as there is no scar tissue and neither of you have fertility issues, give it 6 months. If you don't conceive, then start working with your doctor.
