I am Grandma of a 2 year old and take care of him 3 days a week. He is good for me, but real winey with the parents. Should I suggest ways to keep him from wining around them, or keep out of it? I have a hard time being around them when he is wining ... Help....I don't know what to do!!!

Keep out unless they are asking for help! My son is 5 and he is great for his grandparents but when my husband and I get home we sometimes get to see the worst of him, it's because we're his parents. It's not that he's horrendous but we definitely see a different side of him that no one else gets to see, it could be the same situation. Unless someone is asking for help don't offer it. If they are picking him up and he starts whining you can politely tell the 2 year old something along the lines of "_____ you know the rules, no whining at grandmas house".

is this your DS's child or your daughters child? I would still tend to your grandchild if they were winey, it depends on the situation as well. Sometimes my mom says "ohh come to grandma and hush !" Really it doesnt bother me but might some others.

It is really hard to keep out... Ugh...I want to help them by giving my advice...I was a childcare provider at one time and could give some good advice for them and the problems at hand...
