That's why I like the Danish names. In Danish, Mum is Mor and Dad is Far. If the grandparents are on your Mothers side they are called Mormor and Morfar (Mothers Mother and Mothers Father) and on your Fathers side they are Farmor and Farfar (Fathers Mother and Fathers Father). All so logical and I will be carrying it on.

I find it nice that children sometimes give their grandmothers a name,my son for example calls my mom Goli..in german we say Grossi but he turned it into Goli. I also know a family where the first child named their granny Nemama. Otherwise there is Nana,Nonna,Grandma,Granny.
