My son's sleep routine went through cycles and there were times when he stopped sleeping through the night. There was always a reason - teething, growth spurt causing him to wake up hungry, nose congestion, cold, or night terrors. Try to pinpoint the problem and good luck!

I would make sure she is up at a decent hour in the morning (don't let her sleep in too late). Is she still napping? Maybe cut down on her naps. Don't let her take naps late in the day. All three of those should help you decide when she should be going to bed at night and that will help her to sleep more at night and have more of a restful sleep as well.

Fill her up with solids at night and decrease her nap time. Let her sleep only a few hours, then after a certain time, dont let her take any more naps, no matter how hard she tries.

Only 16 months! Many children still wake in the night at this age. Be patient - she'll be difficult t get out of bed when she's 16 years!
