If you search the internet you will find thousands of scholarships that private individuals offer. There is a scholarship for everything.
First and foremost prepare you letter of introduction to perfection. You will be using this letter for every scholarship or grant you apply for.
You will also need letters from at least three teachers or even a counselor describing your character and why you should be granted the scholarship.
Your grades also play an important part in qualifying for certain grants.Your school counselor should of provided you with information, but, it is not too late as a counselor from the college you select can help. She will also advise you about FAFSA which is a federal grant, Pell grant.
