Did you recently introduce pears? Pears have a sandy/gritty texture. Taste your baby's pears somtime and you can crunch it between your teeth. Depending on the type of pear it was made from it will be more or less gritty. The color is likely from something else. My baby's first diaper after pears was so strange and it seemed like she had been on the beach it was so sandy. Don't even get me started on the worm-looking diapers after eating bananas! Let us know what the doc says but I am pretty sure that's what it is.

I hope everything's ok. If our son is a little sick then sometimes he'll get it but it's light brown/tan in color and only lasts about a day or two.

My kids have all gotten that from time to time. I never really thought about it. I just assumed it had something to do with what they ate. I don't remember it ever being for more than 2-3 diapers in a row though. Please let us know what the doc says so we can all be more informed too.

what color is the stool? If its got white gritty look then its possibly a dairy allegy. If you're breastfeeding , it's quite possible the diet you're keeping. Be sure to let the doc know what you've been eating or taking.
