Gum In The Hair!!

My daughter got gum in her beautiful long hair this evening and I thought I'd share with you all how I got it out. Without cutting it!

Freeze the gum with ice, and I do mean freeze it! Pick as much hair out of the gum as you can, don't worry about a little bit of gum left on the hair, just get the big chunk out. Make sure to keep the rest of the hair separated from the gummy hair.

Once the big chunk is out saturate a small piece of paper towel, tissue, or makeup removal pad with makeup remover. I used Johnson & Johnson Clean and Clear. Then wrap the gummy hair with the saturated tissue/pad and with a firm grip wipe it away with downward strokes making sure to go all the way to the very end of the hair shaft. Works like a charm!

I've had TREMENDOUS success using certified pure therapeutic grade (CPTG) lemon essential oil. Just place a few drops and you can literally pull 5-10 strands of hair out of the gum. It's INCREDIBLE. Like my facebook page, "Living Well Naturally" to see other natural solutions. Best wishes!

I remember getting gum cut out of my hair more than once! lol But my hair was only shoulder length, my daughter's is all the way down her back, it almost broke my heart just thinking about cutting it! lol
