What are your kids in?
Lilly is in gymnastics and acting
Bella is in dance and acting
Nic is in soccer
Nini is in gymnastics
Sue is in dance
Savy is in gymnastics

The names I used are the kids nicknames. What classes do your kids take?

Don't make me go all nurse research on you Ashley.....I have my MSN and I do plenty of research. If your kids were in my school they'd have everything they need. The problem is your kids don't exist. Whatever is driving this, you need help. 22 week twins will not be in soccer or gymnastics, kids with spina bifida don't take dance or gymnastics either. With all of your SN kids the pregnancy you claim to be having must be high risk, and you on bed rest. What is the deal? Why are you lying like this....?

JoJo at two, take a mommy and me dance class or just dance at home.

I've never heard of classes for one or two year olds either.....3 year olds, maybe, but not this young. I think you are full of shit. If your children really needed help in these areas, you'd have them in occupational therapy, not dance and gymnastics. I think you are full of shit.

I don't believe the article actually exists. Maybe, if she wants us to believe her, she could post it, otherwise, I'll just call troll. Why on EARTH someone would troll special needs groups and about special needs children I have no idea. It's actually quite sad.

Well, let's put it this way. According to your posts, your 2 year olds both have hyptonia, not just Dominique, so why would you put a child with hyptonia in soccer? That is not the recommended treatment......and I'd imagine that he would struggle with it BECAUSE of the hyptonia, especially at the age of 2.

See...doesn't add up.

I also still can't find that news article about these two being born at 22 weeks. Wondering if you could help with that? I'm interested, because it's incredibly rare for a baby born at this age to survive, let alone TWINS at this age to survive. I did ask about it in another post, but maybe you missed it?

i had some free time this weekend and the weather was not so nice so i looked around on circle of moms...
why do people make stuff up about things like disabled kids? if you were going to make something up, why make it about something so sad? i sorta feel made fun of. i am sitting at my desk eating my lunch early and looking here for advice--real advice. where do i find it? i don't know how to have two kids at one time. what group do i look, the twins group and the expecting group never respond. the spanker group responds but that is not the help i need. maybe if someone her could tell me a book to read? not "what to expect" read that over and over.

I would be interested in that article as well. I remember seeing a 22 (I think it was 22) weeker on the news a few years ago because it is so incredibly rare that one so young will survive.

I remember being hospitalized while 24 weeks pregnant w/ my twins (granted that was a long time ago now) and the doctor told me that at 24 weeks the chance of survival is so low it might as well be 0%, but at 28 weeks it would be more like an 80% chance.

Oh... so you and your sister and your friends simply play w/ your kids and you call that being in classes...? Got it.

Most moms would simply call that playing w/ their kids and not act like they are in all these classes doing all this stuff...

Actually, I have a sister who is coaching him. Me and some of my friends do everything else to. And for your information, they are not in public ones.

Where in the world do they offer soccer for a 2 year old? 4 is the absolute youngest through AYSO....

I do activities in what they need help with. Like Dominique is in gymnastics to work on listening skills and strength due to hypotonia.

I also value what they want to do. That's why my oldest daughters take what they take.

Dance and gymnastics for 1 and 2 year olds? Interesting... and surprising that you don't have the twins all simply in the same toddler activity....

My girls were gymnasts from 5-13 years old... and played soccer w/ AYSO for 2 seasons when around 7/8 years old. Now they just play soccer for fun, surf, and attend youth groups to 3 different churches.

My 8 year old son was in soccer w/ AYSO when he was 4 and 5, but has been in nothing since (except a couple of classes offered through his elementary school for part of the year). He'll be doing music stuff starting this summer though.

I wouldn't have multiple kids in multiple activities because I value my sanity and theirs.
