I have a 5 year old who's hair has fallen out due to an allergic reaction to synthetic haired braids. We are African American and, her hair is growing very slowly. I've heard alot about Ovation Cell Therapy. Does anyone know if that is safe for kids her age? Has anyone used it?

Thank u! I think that's what I will do. I said I want to start making her some headbands as well with big pretty bows and flowers. I tell her she is beautiful all the time but she sees other little girls and says why don't I have ponytails anymore. I don't want to harm her hair any further so I will jus stick to Carol's Daughter.

I haven't used it. I was under the impression that it was to improve the strength and look of damaged hair though. Not many things actually speed up hair growth... and I'm also generally suspicious high priced products that advertise on heavily on radio.

You could talk to a doctor about what might improve your daughters hair growth, but honestly, I would leave her hair to grow back naturally. If she's self concious maybe you can find other ways to make her feel pretty with short hair (earrings, hats, head wraps, etc).

I would really try to help your daughter feel good about herself as her hair grows back...
