My daughter is 2 1/2 and she will occasionally decide to do that. I take her shopping with me and show her healthy items that SHE can pick to bring home. Then at home I present her with a few things to pick from for a meal and let her help make it so shes interested and nibbles while we prepare it. She loves it and it definitely makes her interested in food and new foods.

When my son went through a picky stage, smoothies worked really well. I would put 2 weetbix, some oats, banana, milk and yoghurt and a little ice and blend it and he used to love it. I found vegies were always harder but really beefing up a spaghetti, rissoles, or a quiche (I have the easiest recipe in the world of a quiche) with lots of vegies worked for me.

i fed my girl veggies and fish crackers for snacks. she grew on it and now she goes for those for snacks. i was told the same they won't starve themselves. i am happy about that knowledge cause now my girl is older and bit pickier and she will goto the fridge if she's hungry. and mix veggies in with recipees like others said spegetti sauce etc. hope that helps

Put several healthy choices on his plate. He's not going to starve himself. Make sure he's not snacking on sugary stuff in between meals. If he doesn't eat his meal, don't make a big deal about it. Wrap it up and offer it to him later if he's hungry.

if he eats mashed potatoes boil some cauliflower till soft and mash it in...keep offering new good for him foods and limit things that are not good for him. he will not starve himself but he will try you to see if you will give in.
good luck and God Bless!
