Hello Everyone.

My son is going to be 1 in about 2 weeks and he has been breastfed up until now, however these passed few days I've noticed my milk supply diminishing greatly, he cries after each nursing session and wants to stay latched on even though I have seen nothing in his mouth every time I pull him off. I started him on 1% cows milk yesterday and he drank the whole cup in a matter of 5 minutes (I nursed for 30 minutes before giving him the cup it usually takes about 10 minutes and he's full). About 1 hour later he threw up absolutely EVERYTHING he had eaten for the whole day! I literally saw pieces from every meal! Then this morning around 4 he woke up so I nursed again another 30 minutes to no success he was still hungry, so I figured let's give it another shit he drank the bottle for about 2 minutes before it all came out. The milk was a little cold as I didn't want it to curd in his stomach. Please help I have no idea what it could be! I know he can't be lactose Intolerant bc he's been eating rice pudding, mac n cheese, yogurt etc. with no problem!

When I weened my kids (both at around 1yr), I started with a good quality formula. I think it was the premixed Similac Advanced (because frankly, it tasted the closest to my breast milk.) And over the course of a couple of months I diluted it more and more with whole milk. Easy for the kids. And I think maybe it was a gentle transition for their bodies too. Good luck! And great to hear other mothers nursing their babies for a while!
