thing is, every one stares at it.. some peolpe have even stopped me telling me he is bleeding..

my nephew ashed if it was his brains coming out, which i found hilarious..

i just wondered if any one else baby has one.. he is the only one i know of.. but everyone says its quite popular..

It is called a Hemangioma. I know because my youngest had a whopper! Yes, I said "had" but now all she has is the tiniest little pink spot on her earlobe and cheek. You have to hunt for it! It was huge, It appeared about 4/5 days after going home from the hospital then it grew and grew. We went to the Dr., but since it didn't interfere w/eating or hearing Thank you God!!!! She is and will remain perfect! I'll post two picks one w/it large and one after it disappeared on my profile page if you want to see hers! :)

Brandon was born with a "stork bite" at the base of his head, on the back of his neck.. He still has it, but it is lighter and you can't see it because of his hair.. Doctors have said it will fade over the years but it can be lasered if we wanted to .

My daughter Chloe had one on her back when she was born on her back, it grew with her the first year of her life and stared to look like a bunny tail. The Dr's said it was a hemangeoma.

Last month we had a pediactric plastic surgeon remove it. It was a quick in and out surgery and the scar is so tiny.

my lil girl has one on the top of her head. the doc says it will be gone by the time she is 5. like yours, she did't have it when she was born. when she was around 2-3 weeks old i noticed a couple of red small dots on her head and within a month it was the size of a dime. just something else that makes her different and special. :)

Kacie has one on her side. Her pedi says it wont get bigger and will be gone by the time she is 5!

My husband has one on his scalp and I remember my grandmother had one on her arm. Some of them may fade, but I know many people who have kept them throughout their life.
I like what Kathy said about angel kisses :-)

My daughter has one on her eye and everyone always stops me and tells me they think she has pink eye lol Obviously since I see her everyday I don't even notice but I just tell people it's a birth mark and they just leave it alone. If someone were to ask me of an indepth description of her I would definitely include that because I think it makes her unique and not just like every other baby.

Joey had one there and on the back of his neck. Both have faded to the point where you can't see them now (he is 7). The only time I notice it is when he gets mad and his face turns red-that spots gets a little redder. No one else probably even notices. I always told him that they were his angel kisses!
