100% The best one to use is Curel Stages for pregnancy!!!!!!!!!! I used it from the day I found out I was preggy and I have maybe 2 tiny stretch marks and had NO itching at all. Not exaggerating!!!! When you put it on, it kinda feels rubbery but it doesn't fade out like Palmer's. Give it a shot..... I think you'll be a fan!!!

Good for you for posting for help. The products that we use, especially when pregnant, go directly into our bloodstream and therefore into the baby. I use botanically based products and organically based products that work wonders. Being in Australia, you may know about a good company called Miessence. They are amazing and are the only 100% certified organic company in the world! There is another line I use as well but please don't use baby oil or anything with mineral oil. Read your labels and I will be more than happy to help you out. In the meantime, use Vitamin E oil while you are searching your options. You MUST keep your skin lubricated at all times! I've had 3 kids and my last was 9lbs. No stretch marks or anything! Read up on babycare products as well. Did you know that Johnson and Johnson is being sued? Get educated and you and your family will be better off for it! Here's to your health,

Karen.

The absolute best belly cream I have ever tried is the Belly Envy cream from Babybellies (www.babybellies.ca) - not only did it feel so good on a stretchy, itchy belly, it smells like heaven! It's made from all natural, and many organic, ingredients. I'm trying to find excuses to keep using it even now that my belly is gone!

Hi De-anne,

I was using the massage lotion for stretch marks (which I found fine in my first during my first pregnancy) but not so good this time. It made me hot and it made me sweat at night time. I was still itchy if not worse so I changed to the soothing oil spray for dry itchy skin which I'm finding really good, no more itching or sweating. The reason I stuck to using palmers was because it worked so well the first time and I didn't get any stretch marks at all and I am up to 31 weeks with no stretch marks this time and I am alot bigger this time too. Hope I have been of some help.

Carly.

I used a product I got at Sally Beauty Supply. I used it with both my pregnancies and don't have a single stretch mark nor did I have the itching. It is called Queen Helene's Cocoa Butter Creme. It worked GREAT.

ps - I really didn't like the Palmer's. I couldn't believe how many chemicals were in it!

The Cocoa butter did wonders for my stretch marks. They have shrunk & become lighter. I just stopped applying the lotion after a while.

Hey De-Anne...
I used it during & after my pregnancy. However I don't remember it making me itch more. Since that's the case with you, perhaps you should try another lotion. What works for one may not work for another. A lot of products that are on the market such as lotions, soaps, skin cremes, etc are tested on white skin, not people of color. I don't know your nationality but this may be helpful to know as u may try different products. Wish u well.

My sister used almond oil and it worked well, I used just my usual brand lotion, but save that oil, it works great for cradle cap or dry scalp for your infant, it may look greasy, but who cares it's a baby, and it'll curl it up a little. Best wishes!

I used hair conditioner in the shower - my first post didn't go through, try different brands to see what works.

Oh man - the only thing that worked 14 yrs ago for me was kirklands' conditioner in the shower. honestly. I tried vitamin e, taking it and breaking the capsuls to rub on my belly, every pricey lotion on the market. In desperation I used some of the conditioner on my belly in the shower and it helped!

Kirkland is Costco's brand - JIC you didn't know.

Thanx for the comments. I think I will be happy when bub arrives in September, no more itchy belly!! I didn't have that problem 8 years ago! My belly isn't large and I am not a big person. I have always been small (in size and weight). I will see what else works. Was told to try baby oil.
