Has anyone had issues with acid reflux and not gaining. My 4 month old has been spitting up since she came home from NICU in February.. we finally have her gaining after adding cerel to bottles, but now all that comes up is all the formula... so frustrating.

frustrating. The fact she was early would have a lot to do with it I guess. But just keep on doctors back and everything until you're satisfied she's doing well. provided she's gained some weight that's a good sign. Atleast she's keeping some down. I guess my main of concern would be is she getting constipated as you said not many dirty nappies.

CHOP is an excellent place to go for GI struggles! Until then, don't hesitate to contact your doctor if you're worried she's dehydrated.

We have had her on Breast milk, Neo sure.. (also tried soy ) fussiness and a few others finally got to see the GI and his Dietician at Gi office she was allergic to my milk.
they changed her to allimentium she only gained half of what they wanted the following week put her on Ela Care she did not gain anything that week.. back in hospital changed the dose of medication and she started to gain. peditrician had us add formula GI office not happy with that, but let it go as she was gaiing and only spitting up formula.... now she is finally starting to gain, it has been a long rough four months... she is still spitting up alot but no-one is concerned as she is putting the weigh on....She was born at about 30 weeks, we had no pre-natel care as I found out about a week before she was here.. My other daughter who is 11month older I was back and fourth 2 to 3 times a week as I was high risk... so now wonder if that has something to do with it as well. We take her to CHOP in 2 weeks for 2nd opinion.. this GI doctor after doing the upper gi showing severe reflux said we don't have to do anything else but let it take its coures.... we have also started havign issues with diaper only a few dirty diapers and some that are wet(blue line but dont look or feel wet) getting a bit concerned again with that......

You may have to talk to your doctor about changing formula. To lactogen or something. I started my son on karicare on the advice of my mum and he would projectile vomit on it. I changed to heinz nurture and stuck with it. I haven't had any problems with it. I think it's a matter I've finding one that suits your child.
