Has anyone out there read and used the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child?

I've never read it because I've discussed it with others who've read it and determined it's not for me.

I don't believe in sleep training, personally; I believe sleep is developmental. I didn't teach my daughter to crawl, stand, walk, pee on the potty, etc. but she's doing all those... I created a healthy environment for all of them and when she was ready she started doing it. I believe the same will happen with sleep (and it really has, unless she's sick or teething).

How old is the baby? Were you "taught" how to sleep? I wasn't, and no one I know was, yet we all seem to instinctively "know how". Granted, there are those times when you feel like "If I could just have 1 uninterrupted night of sleep!!!!!! when you've got a babe under the age of 12 mos." It will come. Most children over the age of 8 make it through the night just fine. How do indigenous people "teach" babies to sleep without books and sleep trainers for hire?

Read the reviews for it on amazon.com to see what people have said! That's what I do when I'm looking for what other people have thought about a product or book.
