my 11 month old son just picked it up . the doctor said it can be as easily contracted as touching something then sticking his fingers in his mouth. how long did your babys breakout last?

hope your baby gets better. my babygirl has had the last stage, (the rash all over her face, arms and legs) for a entire month now.

Yes, my lo got it about two months ago. He was really sick with horrible blisters in his mouth for two weeks and those same blisters on his hands. Not really his foot though. Poor little guy had scary high fevers and he was put on this medicine called Magic Mouth Was that had benadryl and a few other medicines to numb his mouth. It was really rough,.

My oldest child had it at the age of about 1, and was off nursery for a week. That was 13 years ago... Neither of my other two children ever picked it up.

My daughter did when she was around a year and we think she got it at the playground. The doctor told us there is nothing you can really do for it except give tylenol for pain (she had a few sores in her mouth). It cleared up in around 5 days. Also, there's an incubation period, but I can't remember how long it is.....I remember being stuck at home for a couple of days :-( Hope your son feels better soon!

Yes. My son picked it up at play group. He was treated and it cleared up in around 4 days.
