Hating My Job! I feelI'm going to end up quitting the well paying job I have!!!!!

I have been at this job for 7 years, I have good hours and decent $. My daughter is 9 months old now and I work full time. My husband and I really need the $ I bring in. I have come to hate the drama, back stabbing, favoritism, politics, and all the other crap I deal with every day. I have come to not trust any thing my sous chef's or higher up say. I used to love my job! I am a very hard worker and used to look forward to a work. I feel selfish and self-centered when I think about quitting. My family needs the $. I just feel so awful some days when I get to work.

Thank you soooo much for responding! I statrted looking for a new job last night after Autumn went to bed. I know there has got to be something out there for a hard worker like myself. Hopefully I wont have to take a serious drop in pay, I will just have to keep up the search. My husband knows how I feel and completly understands. Thanks again!!!!

Never quit a job without having another one lined up it looks bad on paper. And when filling out the app talk about how you're looking for a better opportunity, not about the negative.

Start your job search. Time for a change. When working conditions are toxic, they effect our home lives and that is unacceptable.

Your child and hubby need you to be a whole person. I bet as soon as you find other work, you are going to feel soooooo much better and almost hate the fact that you didn't do it earlier.

Money isn't everything!!!!!! You have to be at peace in serious areas of your life. Work, home, religion, family...

Talk with your hubby and plan that job search, you may get a pay cut, but you won't care when you feel better and are happier to go to work.

If you aren't happy at work then you need to have a look for something else. Working full time we spend more time at work than at home so we do have to be happy.
Not all workplaces have the dramas, mine doesn't. We have a great team and I love going to work. It did take me a while to get the right mix though (I'm the manager) but when you do it's great.
I would have a look around before you quit though. It's best to have another job to go to when you leave one.

That really sucks. I tend to find though that is the situation in any job- drama, politics, super immature baloney. Everyone starts hating their jobs after a time.
