Have any of your kids had R.S.V? If so, what are the symptoms?

Yes my son had it sounded almost like Asthma and can only be detected by a doctor. He also had a cough all symptoms were aggravated by the cold and we were told NOT to bring him out in the cold for any reason. There is NOTHING they can do for it as it is viral but you need to closely watch their breathing if it gets worse and rush them to the hospital immediately if breathing becomes compromised. GET HIM TO A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!! This is serious and nothing to play around with!!

Most people who get RSV and never show any symptoms beyond that of a mild common cold, but others get it so severely, that they end up hospitalized because it's led to pneumonia or bronchiolitis. RSV symptoms common among infants include listlessness, poor or diminished appetite, and a possible fever. If you're concerned about his breathing, definitely take him to the doctor. If he sounds like he's snoring, it could also just be that he's got too much snot in his nose.

My son had it when he was 5 months old. Any wheezing, fast breathing (like 60 breaths a minute) or retracting (you can see his rib cage when he breathes), take him to the doctor immediately. My son ended up in the pediatric ICU; one of the most terrifying experiences of my life.
