My daughter has always had problems with diaper rash. She is one of those kids if you don't get to a dirty diaper right away she will get diaper rash so bad she will get bleeding sores and water blister type sores. The last week she has been complaining of stomach pains. She has been having stools that look sand and tonight I changed one that looked like saw dust almost. She screams everytime I change her diaper saying it hurts even if there's not rash or sores. I'm concerned.

Well stool has to do with diet. I don't know what she is eating but maybe that is where you should start. I do know sometime with breastfeeding it can come out a little sandy-like, i don't think this is what you're talking about. The only other thing i can think of is a food allergy of some sort. Start writing down what she eats for the day and compare days when the poop is off.

As far as the bleeding sores, i think that is what i call a yeast rash.(google it and look at pictures to see) Your doctor can give you a special cream for it. Many children get these some it is only a few times and it goes away. Also if you are using scented wipes- stop. If she is red and sore either rinse her bum in the tub or just use a wet cloth. Feel free to buy some cloth diapers and tear them apart just for these cases. This might be why she is saying it hurts when you change her.

She might actually be allergic to her diapers also. Try changing brands and see if the rash settles down. I know it does sound silly but think about it, these chemicals in the diaper are getting released when she puts any moisture into them. If you can stand to do it, switch to cloth diapers. don't even worry about cleaning --them they have services that do it for you and it will cost about what you pay in disposable diapers.

Also if you use bubble bath, stop doing that too. It can cause many bum problems for many kids with sensitive skin.
