It seems like being a stay at home mom can be very challenging at times. Well, it is. Many people who are working mothers and fathers think that being a stay at home mom is quite simple. We have all day to clean the house, do the laundry, feed the dog, groom the dog, all while trying to raise an infant and potty train a toddler. The best advice that I can give the individuals looking from the outside in, is to put yourself in our shoes. Try it for 48 hours; I bet you couldn't last! Being a stay at home mom is very challenging. For myself, it can be extremely challenging because I attend the local university full time. Trying to take care of everything around the house, keep my children busy and stay on top of all my school work is a juggling act in itself. What I've learned is to have a schedule and a routine. Time management is the only friend in these scenarios. For myself, I have found that waking up when my son gets up and starting him on a routine of eating breakfast at 6 am along with my daughter and myself has helped. Also, putting both kids down for a nap at the same time is crucial. This allows you to get the chores around the house done, or in my case homework. When it comes to making dinner, try to make something simple. There are millions of crock pot recipes online that are not difficult to execute and many of them, you can just throw the ingredients in the crock pot and leave it for 5 or 6 hours. For easy dinner ideas, go to this website; http://spoonful.com/recipes/slow-cooker-... Cleaning while you make dinner is also a quick time saver and less hassle for after dinner is ate. By sticking to a simple routine, life seems to flow a lot smoother and less stressful.
