having another child after having a child with cerebral palsy

I have a 2.5 yr old little boy (who is the light of my life), he was born at 25 weeks gestation and spent 3 months in the hospital. His prematurity ultimately cause him to have some brain bleeds which lead to his mild cerebral palsy. He has not started walking yet, but with physical therapy we hope he is able to achieve that goal someday. He is also a bright and very observant little boy. He has been able to learn his abc's, colors, numbers, and shapes.

I am about 2 weeks away from delivering my 2nd child (another little boy). I opted to not have any of the chromosomal test done because I felt a false positive would stress me out even more. SO....now that I am hitting 37 weeks, I am trying to wrap my head around being able to contribute time and energy to my son with special needs as well as my new born.
Is there any parents out there with an older child with special needs and who have decided to have another child. Please share your stories.

THank you!

Well I don't, so I have no personal stories to share. However, a little girl in my son's pre-primary class has CP and she has two little brothers who are around 18 months old (yes, twins!). The Mum is a very nice lady and always has a smile on her face. Her husband works FIFO (which means he is on the mines and he works away for a week or two and then comes home for a week) and she works one day a week. She manages to care for her two little boys as well as her special needs daughter. So Monica, if you are beginning to feel apprehensive or just a little scared about whether or not you can manage it all, take a deep breath and know you can do it. If you have anyone in your family or circle of friends who are willing to help you while you adjust to the new baby, then accept their help. Best of luck with your new baby.
