My best friend didn't have children for the longest time! She was married. About oh sheesh 5yrs ago now she and her husband went to adopt a child. Whole another story there. The marriage fell apart but she finished the adoption on her own. Now she was a divorced new mother of an almost 1yr old! Wow we have had a wild ride since junior high! We are best friends. Chicks before d@(@s! We have each others' backs. We talk at minimum, once a week. I may not have always agreed with her decisions over the years but I love her and support her no matter what. She has two beautiful sons. She is truly an amazing woman. You nurture your friendship-marriages, kids, jobs, life-that is what friends are for.

I worked with a lot of people that weren't married and didn't have kids. They just didn't understand the stress and dedication a family life takes. I like having a few friends without mates, but I prefer most of my friends to be in some kind of steady relationship. It helps us have something in common.

I am friends with all my friends from school still. It doesn't matter to me really that many don't have friends and some don't have partners, they are my friends.

ppl live different life styles. if it brings you down, try surrounding yourself with ppl who are in the same phase of life you. ex: other moms. good luck:)
