He isn't potty trained anymore! What happened?

I recently found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first child, a nearly 2 year old boy, has been working on potty training for several months. Admittedly, his legs are still too short to reach the top of the stool for number one even WITH a stool, we used to be able to get him to do number two on the toilet. Unfortunately, since last week, when we learned that we were pregnant again, he stopped using the toilet all together. I haven't really broached the subject of a new baby with him yet, but I haven't given him any reason to doubt that Mommy and Daddy aren't interested in him anymore. He's even started to revert to a his pacifier, which he's been without for well over a year now. Is it just intuition and he'll just get over it or is there something else going on that I'm missing?

They just know .... kids go in and out of phases, and age 2 for a boy is very young to be trained. So, one step forward, two steps back ... you will get there soon enough
