He stole my son! Any advice?

[deleted account] ( 2 moms have responded )

Hello moms, my life is in torment. I humbly ask for any of you mothers to please read this petition that was written for me and my son by a close friend of mine. I'm so scattered and broken hearted that it is hard for me to tell my own story. Would love and appreciate any support or advice. Another court battle for full custody of my precious son is coming up soon. Thank you so much

I feel for you. I wish you luck in finding what you want out of this.

I have to agree with Shawnn. I am not being mean or judging you in this but you do need an attorney and should have had one from the get go. Now it is apparently up to you to prove anything about this case.

My sympathy. I read the petition.

All I can say is that you should have gotten an attorney when you were served with papers.

A court hearing had been scheduled, and you were aware if it. If it had been cancelled, your attorney would have notified you. If you did not confirm with the courts that the hearing was cancelled, then yes, they judged against you for not showing up. That was your responsibility.

In order to fight for your son, you will need to prove that you are fit to care for and provide for him. You will need an attorney to protect your interests. You cannot call yourself a "victim of the courts" because you have never (according to that petition) taken responsibility for anything that happened. You claim it was all your ex husband's doing. A judge isn't going to buy that.

I wish you the best of luck in your battle.
