I recently gave birth to twins at 25 wks they are now 8 months old but 5 months corrected , my sin is constantly banging his head when he' about to sleep or is angry. Any suggestions as how to help reduce the banging?

I actually read an article about head banging. It said while it may look violent many babies tend to do this. It soothes them sort of like rocking does. It said the head banging tends to get worse when the baby is overly sleepy so try not to let them get to the point of overt exhaustion. It also said that it's a phase and will pass so don't get too upset about it. I would place your baby in a soft and safe spot when the head banging begins , and try to rock and sing softy so he Is getting the comfort he is desiring without banging his head. Rock on little dude, and the best of luck to your little rock star!

I personally did it for many years. I am only halfway normal though ;P It really is just about soothing to sleep, at least for me it was. No matter how hard anyone tried, no one was able to stop me. In fact, it made me feel bad about it, so I hid that I was doing it.

Yes, I've read the same thing. My daughter used to do that as a baby. I didn't know it was a self-soothing method until years later. She did it until about 5 years old but I think if you attempt the suggestions by Danielle, you can get your little one to stop much sooner.
