I was laying in bed feeding my baby when i decided to reply to a msg my husband had send me. I dont know how but the phone slip out of my finger n it fell on her head. She cried for a minute n then apply a bit of ice n gave her some tylenol she seems fine she hasnt fallen asleep. I dont know if i should take her to the ER bc she does have a bump on her head . What should i do ?

Kim, please read the no T.H.U.M.P.S. rules before posting again.
Everyone is free to their own opinion and this is an international website. There are differing views from around the world. Just because someone doesn't have the same advice as you doesn't mean they are wrong and you don't have to put them down for it. That's what makes us human, we all have our own opinions and people asking for help here can take the advice they feel is right for them.
That's what a forum is about. If you can't respect other people's opinions then maybe you shouldn't be in a public forum.

I read the title and was thinking you were going to post that she fell out of the bed or something... Keep an eye on her (but let her... and you... sleep normally), but I can almost guarantee the ER would do nothing other than look at her for 2 seconds and send you home. Count this as her first of what will probably be many bumps and bruises in her life.

If a simple bump to the head from a cellular phone were enough to cause a significant injury, then all our babies should be wearing helmets. The anatomy of an infant thru toddlers brain is unique and created to withstand quite a bit of falls, bumps and bruises.

How was I wrong?
It was only a phone!!! The baby didn't fall off a bed head first. What do think a baby's head goes through during birth? It gets squashed into all sorts of shapes.
Maybe you should stop trolling me. I am a moderator in here and have been around for many years. I have seen the smart asses like you not last long. It's my unpaid job to make sure people like you follow the rules.

You did the right thing.....and yes, tylenol was correct as well....keeping her awake for awhile and checking if her pupils dilate would indicate possible trauma in which an ER visit would be necessary for evaluation. If swelling persists or worsens, she gets a fever and bruising turns dark indicating a possible bleed, take her in.

A phone isn't going to cause a head injury. There was no need for pain relief at all.
Babies and children get all sorts of bumps and bruises, get used to it now or you will be wrapping your baby up in bubble wrap.
