Headaches

My 6 year old daughter has been complaining of headaches for this last week i had her at my GP and he thought it was her eyes so i booked her in for an eye test and her eyes are perfectly fine and she has no strain she has been gettimg calpol and ibrufen together it will only work for a little while then the pain comes back shes been very sleepy from she got the headaches any idea what i could do for her

I personally would not settle for blood work. I'd want a CT of her head done. Maybe it is nothing, maybe it is her blood sugar is low, but you need to rule out a worst case scenario

Thank you for replying i took her to our out of hours doctor and they told me to leave her for another week to see if it continues and if it does she has to see her own gp for bloods to be taken

Duplicate post....I agree with Shawnn, a neuro workup or at least a CT is in order.

I do not want to scare you, but unles associated with an illness; headaches in a 6 yo are abnormal. I would ask of a CT of her brain ASAP.
