Heavy implantation bleeding

Can I be pregnant and having implantation bleeding? My "period" is bright red and pretty heavy. It came a whole week early, it came on 18th and I'm not due until the 25th. Barely any cramping, which is unusual. I have been TTC so I am wondering if this could be implantation bleeding. I made the mark for conception, so could I be pregnant?

I had a bright red and somewhat heavy implantation bleeding (this is what the books say is normal for implantation bleeding), which then turned to a period type bleed for at least another 4 days. Just before the bleeding began I had an extremely sharp pain occur. But this happened around a week after I was due for period. My husband and I were trying for a baby, so as soon as I was one day late I took a test and it was positive. I didn't know anything about implantation bleeding and thought I must have miscarried, especially because the bleeding went longer than the books described.

Have you had any other symptoms? Tender nipples, metallic tasting food, bloated feeling, needing to wee regularly? These are early early pregnancy symptoms.

It's too soon to tell if it's implantation bleeding. Wait until your period is at least 3 days late before taking a test.

i know it's hard to wait, but you can't tell if you're pregnant quite yet. i;ve been able to tell if i was pregnant the day before i was supposed to have my period with a home test, that's not always the case though so just be patient. i've also heard that implantation bleeding is usually very light and not bright red, but a brownish color. but you'll never know until you take a test!!
