Hi I am a mom of 3...
Sorry this is long, but wanted to give a little bit of the background... Any help or advice would be very help full... PLEASE

I have a 6 year old boy who was born at 37 weeks at 6lbs 19 3/4 in long.. Was in the NICU for 4 days for temp. issues, feeding issues and bilirubin of 21.5, which they told me could cause brain damage. Didn't however.. Tried to breastfeed but, When he was a month old we figured out he had Acid reflux and a milk portion allergy so he was put on soy, at a 1 years old he out grew this and can now have milk without problems..

I have a 5 year old, born at 36 weeks at 3lbs 8oz 16 1/4 in long with Gastroschisis.. She spent 6 weeks in the NICU, had 2 surgeries, a blood transfusion, spinal tap done, was on a ventilator for 11 days.. I pumped and breastfed her as long as I could, Then at 9 months old I dried up out of no where, so we had to find a milk for her well she too had a milk portion issue, tried soy was to harsh on her belly because of Gastroschisis. So we put her on Goats Milk.. Which helped with many issues, her reflux, poop problems, eczema, gas.. At a year old we tried regular milk, still didn't work but soy did work, now that she is 5 she can have 8oz of regular milk and no more.. Which works great for school..

I have a 13 month old born at 38 weeks at 5lbs 13.5oz and 18 1/4in long.. We started with breastfeeding however I didn't produce well at all, so we put him on regular formula, didn't work, then his doctor to us to try soy, didn't work.. so they told us to go back to regular formula but for sensitive belly's. I did this for 5 months, nothing worked at all, he screamed cried, barely ever slept, was just not a happy baby at all.. So once again I call his doctor she told me it was normal.. I knew it wasn't so we went and bought Nutramigen formula, With in 48 hours he was a total different baby.. So we figured out he was allergic to Dairy and Soy. Now that he is a year old we started the change over to regular milk as most and my other 2 out grew this. However not my 3rd, We gave him 2oz in his cup and wasn't even a 1 min after he drank it and puked it right back up, so we tried soy and the same thing happened. Now he is on almond milk, its wonderful..

My question are:
Have any other moms went through something like any of this??
Does anyone have any advice, on handling this allergy??
Does anyone have any recipes they could maybe share that are DAIRY and SOY free??
Have any moms dealt with Gastroschisis??
Would really love to just talk and get any advice on any of these things..

Yes, I have 2 daughters and I had to change their formula as infants. They are fine now, ages 3 and 1. It happens, it only affects our lives as adults, but as long as they get the nutrients they need, it doesn't have to be formula, or cows milk, no specifics.....And the kids do grow out of some of these sensitivities. You are a good mom working closely with your kids.

I just realized I left a few things out about my 13 month old... Sorry about that... Again THANK YOU to any and all that have any ideas....
I have looked every where to find things since we first figured it out at 5 months.... Right now my youngest eats a lot of vegies, fruits, almond milk pancakes, scrabbled eggs if farm fresh, Tuna, pasta wheat only, Happy baby products, chicken, fish, cereals with out either.. Tonight I seen just how miserable my little one is getting, he is so tired of the same thing, he began to cry and push his foods away... I and my husband look like the crazy people in the store reading everything we pick up to make sure it is safe for our youngest yet that my older 2 will enjoy as well... PLEASE PLEASE HELP...

Thank you, most of them are not really geared towards a one year old. Maybe I can try looking up soy free dairy free toddler/ kid food items.. Thank you again...

I don't have any experience with this but if you google dairy and soy free recipes there are a few sites that come up.
