Hello everyone!

I am Ashley K. Butler, and I am new to the community. I am not a mother at the moment, but am excited to be an aunt to my sister's little one that is coming soon.

I am interested in helping mothers who have children that struggle with school work and tests, by offering homework assistance and study skills help to them.

Just a little bit about my background:
* I am 23 yrs old
* I am the oldest of 5 children
* I graduated in May 2015 with a degree in Math/Psych
* I love working with youth
* I love, love, love my family
* I have an awesome mom, who rocks, and I understand the lengths that moms/dads go through just to see their kid(s) succeed in life from watching my mom for the past 23 (almost 24) years

In short, you all have such amazing roles (that go way underpaid) - but we kids love your hard work and effort. Without - I don't know where we would be!

But, I am curious to learn more about the community, or circle :), of moms and the things that they consider when choosing to work with others.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Ashley B.

So, you are soliciting us for advice on how to run your business without paying anyone for said advice. Slick. I can definitely advise you, but for a fee.

This is just a group of people that talk about stuff. We don't 'work' w/ anyone here.

Hello and good morning/afternoon/evening (depending on your location :D)!

I am actually in the process of constructing a tutoring/youth development business.

Currently, I am in the stage of Research and Development. I AM NOT selling/providing anything AT THIS TIME. I am just going through this site, among several others, meeting with different mothers/fathers/guardians, visiting schools/centers/etc., and more, just to get as much information as I can before launching.

I am simply looking for things that MOTHERS (on this site) in particular look for when choosing someone or a service provider to work with their children and why?

I am looking for:
* tips,
* advice that mothers give to fellow mothers,
* red flags,
* things that you all feel are conveniences/inconveniences,
* things that spark your interest when choosing someone/service provider,
* things that you watch out for,
* how does/did it make you and/or child feel,
* what are you looking to find,
* what have been some of your past experiences,
* were you satisfied with the individual/provider,
*what made you want to hire/fire someone,
* etc.

Thank you,

Ashley B.

This line is almost soliciting as no one would offer this and not want to get paid:
"I am interested in helping mothers who have children that struggle with school work and tests, by offering homework assistance and study skills help to them."
THAT IS selling a service.
Maybe you should read the rules again.

Why Ashley? If this is not for sales, why is a 23 year old asking these questions when she doesn't have kids of her own? Is this a report for school?

Lol...you all are funny 😁. What I am looking for is the specific criteria that mothers look for when choosing someone to work with their children. What are the top most concerns that you all have when choosing a tutor, nanny/baby sitter, or any other provider/service (swimming instructor, music instructor, etc.)?

Please let me know your thoughts. I am not looking to sale anything on here at this time. Just looking to get some feedback and insight on what mothers want and think about, as it relates to their children and themselves.

Thank you,

Ashley B.
