Hello I'm a Single mother that had a beautiful son 7 years ago... Initially I took care of my son 24/7 the 1st 2 years. It was a horrible experience because I had a c-sec and I decided to quit my job to take care of my son for 9 months. After 2 years, I left the relationship and moved back to my moms house. My ex was such an asshole and didn't help me and he was verbally abusive! Back then my sons medical bills were all under my name and everything else. My ex and his dad convinced me not to collect child support and my ex will pay half the daycare. I did the Thursday to Sunday with my ex who convince me to leave him at his cousins daycare. I didn't feel comfortable after a while because my son would cry and was afraid of his dad every time I dropped him off and he was only 2 years old then. I didn't know back then I had more rights to him. So I decided to go to court to take custody of my son except with my boyfriends advice not to hire lawyer and lost. It has been a rough 4 years for me. I work as a contractor and it has taken a toll on my job because I was so upset losing my son. Please I live in Somerset County of New Jersey and I need to know where I can go for counseling to help me get my son back. He's home with me today because he was crying and hates only seeing me every other weekend. . Thank you!

You can look up lawyers and counselors in the phone book. Maybe his doctor would have a recommendation for a therapist (you may need to get a referral from the doc for insurance purposes anyway).

Hello Thank you... I have edited my profile so can anyone advise me who I can contact. My son doesn't want to go back living with his dad. I don't know what to do. So hard to drop him off to school... Kicking, screaming, and crying. It's very stressful.

You should take your email off of here....

If you lost custody in court all you can do is get a lawyer and go back to court and try again. If you have solid evidence that the current arrangement is detrimental to your son (maybe he could be in counseling w/ a counselor willing to testify in court) that will 'probably' be the only way a judge will reverse the court decision. Without just cause to rule otherwise you both SHOULD have 50/50 custody... so what evidence did your ex have to get more than that and is that evidence true or can you disprove it?
