We were trying to offer support. But obviously you wanted someone to tell you that 6 years was too long, and we can't say that because we don't know the details. It wasn't very clear at all what you wanted. I did try to reach out and suggest that he might get our sooner with good behaviour, and it was great that you can still get to visit him, but you seemed to read things into that too. I'm sorry I didn't give you the "right" response.

"I never said violence is ok never !!I don't know what are you saying that"

Uh, I never said you did say that........

"I just think it's to much time."

Maybe, maybe not. We don't know what kind of fight it was. You didn't exactly give much information. However, given he was charged with attempted murder, then it wasn't just a regular fight, now, was it?

"Im doing looking for legal advice someone who knows the law"

Then this is probably the wrong place. You should talk to a lawyer.

Without knowing all the evidence no can say it's too long. You don't even know all the evidence since you are relying on someone else saying the person was walking fine.
If you really believe the sentence is too long then get your lawyer to appeal. There's nothing we can do about it.

I never said violence is ok never !!I don't know what are you saying that and I know if you do something against the law you have to pay for it
I just think it's to much time.

It doesn't matter if the other person was walking the next day, if it was a certain type of fight, it would still be attempted murder. Coward punching someone, for example, brings with it an attempted murder charge, I believe, simply because people are aware that a hit to the head can kill someone. Even if the person is walking the next day....it's still against the law to do it. We all need to learn that violence is never an answer and will result in consequences.

Sorry you are going through this, 6 years is a long time, but clearly your son did something illegal and now he has to pay the consequences. It's good that you can visit him every 2 weeks, and hopefully he can get out early for good behaviour and make a better life for himself.

It would be attempted murder, not murder if the the other person is still alive.
That's a pretty serious charge. Hopefully he behaves in jail and gets a reduced sentence with good behaviour.

So he was found guilty of attempted murder? Six years is a long time, but he could get released early if he has good behavior? Is he near where you can visit him?
