My son woke up for a bottle in the night until he was over a year old! I don't think it was just habit, I think he truly was hungry. I started giving him a bottle right before I went to bed (at 10 or 11) and he would drink it while sort of sleeping, then would sleep through til morning. If I didn't, he'd wake me up at some wee hour of the morning, and I don't like waking up! But with the "dreamfeed", it was no trouble for me and it got him through. Give it a try, maybe he'll wake up less or not at all if you feed him right before you go to bed after he's been sleeping for a few hours already.

I found that if I just got up to feed mine then they would go back to sleep which meant I would get more sleep then if I left them to try and go back to sleep on their own. I also went back to work when my kids were 3 months, and 5 months, you learn to function.

Some kids just don't for a long time. I would cut out the juice because it is full of sugar (even if natural) and will keep him up longer. If he is hungry, feed him breast milk or formula. Especially when they are going through growth spurts...they need to eat. He is telling you he is hungry.
