Also to let you know... I have full legal and physical custody of my children and their father simply has visitation rights (doesn't pay child support, barely contacts them, and is seeing them right now for the first time in 2 years)... and I can not move out of my area unless I get permission from the court. Such is the life when you share children w/ someone... the KIDS have rights (as they should) to both parents.

You need to get court orders in place regarding physical & legal custody, support, and visitation. And, yes you need to have the child's father be in agreement before you change states.

You should have court orders regarding custody, visitation, and child support already.... What do those say? If you do NOT have them... yes, you need to get a lawyer and go to court.

You need to contact a lawyer.
Short answer though, you do need to go to court to set up visitation and the Father can petition the courts to stop you from moving.
Child support is a completely different issue and has nothing to do with if the Father can see his child.
