Make a paste with baking soda and water and put it on the baby's skin where the rash is. You can do this while in the bath tub before a bath or during the bath. To keep the rash from coming back, though, you need to figure out what is causing it. It could be a food allergy. How old is the baby?
For teething you can give baby a cold wet wash cloth, a wooden block to chew on or if he is old enough you can give infant acetaminophen (make sure to get a weight dosage chart from your doctor). Also, Hyland's teething tablets are homeopathic (but I think they cause a bit of hyperactivity in my daughter)
