My LO, now 4.5 months old, has suddenly started to cry and shrieks when he's put down for bed. Nothing in his bedtime routine had changed and this has now been going on for the last 4 nights. Before this, he's been a pretty good sleeper. He understood his routine, would sleep for 6-8 hours at a time before waking for his dream feed and went back to bed easily.

Now, he wakes every 3-4 hours for feeds and diaper changes. Also, it takes him a bit longer to fall back to sleep.

We give him pain relievers before bed to rule out teething but it seems like it's more than that.

I have no idea what I'm dealing with and would love to hear if anyone is going through the same issues and how you are or have overcome them.

HELP! 😢

Your son probably has indigestion from his liquid diet, it is common in babies to have a mild form of GERD, and that is one of the reasons they spit up or throw up.

Please see your doctor, if he determines that it is indigestion he can give him medicine.
Indigestion / GERD gets worse when you lay down... so help your baby by holding him to fall asleep in an upright position.

You say you gave your baby pain medication?
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR BABY PAIN MEDICATION THAT IS NOT PRESCRIBED BY A DOCTOR. YOU CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO YOUR BABY.

I wish you luck, and i hope this helps :)
